At approximately 7:51 a.m., CCFR responded to the Statter Boat Harbor in Auke Bay for a report of a boat on fire. Fire Marshal Dan Jager gave the details. "Fire personnel arrived and made contact with harbor staff and the boat occupants. The boat involved was a commercial fishing vessel that had an electrical fire in the engine room area.
