News Home More from News of the North Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - On Wednesday, a Kenai grand jury indicted 20-year-old Tyler Cordes for vehicular homicide in the death of 25-year-old Drew Brown of Homer. Cordes is charged with driving a vehicle at a high rate of speed, while under the influence of alcohol, and crashing the vehicle off the Sterling Highway in Homer on Dec. 21, 2021. Two other passengers were injured in the crash. Cordes was indicted for murder in the second degree, manslaughter, assault in the first degree, assault in the third degree, driving under the influence, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment.
