News Home Photo courtesy of CCFR Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Capital City Fire Rescue (CCFR) and Red Cross crews responded and contacted impacted homeowners and immediate neighbors. A landslide occurred in the Starr Hill neighborhood downtown at about 8:00 p.m. Saturday night. CCFR Assistant Chief Sam Russell provided an update at approximately 9:45 p.m. "One house on Nelson Street was struck by earth and trees from a small landslide. No injuries were reported but the house sustained some damage making the house unlivable for the night," he said.
